It offers everything from cultural artefacts from different parts of the world to extinct animals such as dinosaurs and the dodo bird. With a continuous schedule of rotating exhibits, there is always something to keep the kids amazed.

You can visit on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm, including Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm. While admission is free for kids that are under the age of 3, children of ages 3-18 have to pay $6 and adults have to pay $13.

CT Science Center

Make the dreams of your science-loving kid come true by visiting the Connecticut Science Center. With over 165 hands-on exhibits to interact with, children are sure to have a great time. Some of the most popular attractions for kids include Legos, coloured balls, experiments with water, etc.

Adults too can enjoy interesting exhibits. For example, one that features 40 of Leonardo da Vinci’s inventions brought to life.

The CT Science centre is opened on Tuesdays till Saturdays from 10 am-5 pm. Children under the age of 3 can enter for free and 13-17 have to pay $14.95. Admission fee for adults and senior citizens are $21.95 and $19.96 respectively.

Barker Character, Comic, and Cartoon Museum

This one of a kind museum is houses over 80,000 antique toys and collectables that are related to cartoon characters and comics. Located in Cheshire, the Barker Character, Comic, and Cartoon Museum offer characters from Looney Toons, Star Wars, the Beatles and from the Disney’s early days.

The museum is usually opened from Wednesday through Saturday at 12 pm and closes at 4 pm. Admission is free for kids under the age of 3. Children between 4 and 17 have to pay $3, $5 for adults and $4 for senior citizens.

On Track Karting

This indoor go-kart is the perfect experience for young adrenaline junkies. There is a junior karting for kids between the age of 7 and 14, which features karts with a max speed of 25mph. Parents too can be part of the fun too.

At the price of $20 per race, On Track Karting is a little pricey. However, it’s an adventure that is worth it. You can visit the Brookfield and Wallingford locations from Mondays through Thursdays, between 4pm and 10pm. On Fridays and Saturdays, it’s noon till 11pm.
